Eight levels from first kick to all four strokes
Small groups of four to six, a survival skill in nearly every level, and a video of every level your child passes.
Why some kids stop making progress
Some children attend lessons for months but still fear water or struggle with technique. That happens when learning is inconsistent or foundations are skipped.

Rebuilt from the foundations, in order
Every child follows the same eight-level path. Nothing is skipped, and nobody moves up because they have simply been coming long enough.
- ✓Beginners never share a lane with swimmers
- ✓Each level has its own written syllabus
- ✓Advancement is by ability, not time spent
- ✓A Head Coach supervises every class

You watch the skill, not a tick on a card
When every skill in a level is ticked off, the Head Coach runs the assessment and films it. The video stays in your app, and the certificate follows the next week.
- ✓Head Coach runs every assessment
- ✓Video sent to you after the test

What parents say
My child was able to proceed further in her swimming lessons — the other school she attended previously had very, very slow improvements.

Kids swimming lessons — common questions
Which level will my child start at?
The coach places your child on trial day after watching them in the water — not by age. Children coming from our Kiddie class start at Beginner.
How long does each level take?
About four months with one class a week. Your child moves up only after passing a recorded assessment, so timing follows ability, not the calendar.
What is a water survival skill?
A safety skill built into the syllabus — lateral rotation, paddle and breathe, water treading, elementary backstroke, sculling and more. Seven of the eight levels include one.
My child already swims a bit. Will they be bored?
No. They are placed at the level matching their current skills, and never mixed with complete beginners.
What comes after Advanced Gold?
The Pre-Competitive squad — endurance sets, race starts and turns, and the Skywhale Cup.
Which branch should we choose?
Ara Damansara (20m × 4.5m) serves Petaling Jaya, Kelana Jaya and Subang. Puchong Jaya (20m × 8m) serves Puchong, Bandar Puteri and Kinrara. Same coaches, same syllabus, same price.
Full details — kids swimming lessons at Skywhale
Common reasons kids don’t progress
Some children attend swimming lessons for months but still fear water or struggle with technique. This often happens when learning is inconsistent or foundations are skipped. At Skywhale, we rebuild foundations systematically — so progress becomes measurable and reliable.
Level-based learning (not random practice)
Children move through clear stages with skill benchmarks. Advancement is based on ability and readiness, not time spent. The syllabus covers basic water skills, water survival skills, stroke learning, and endurance and stroke advancement. This helps children build real confidence and proper technique.
What parents can expect
You can expect improvements in water confidence, safer behaviour, stronger breathing control and gradually more independent swimming. We also communicate clearly so parents know what the child is working on.
Trial & program fees
Program fees vary based on age and learning stage. To ensure the right class placement, we recommend starting with a trial session. After the trial, we’ll explain the suitable program options and fees based on your child’s readiness. See our Kiddie Class for younger children, or our Adult Class for ages 13 and up.
Where we teach
Kids swimming lessons run at Ara Damansara (serving Petaling Jaya, Subang, Kelana Jaya and Damansara) and Puchong Jaya (serving Puchong, Bandar Puteri, Kinrara and Seri Kembangan). Kelas renang kanak-kanak 6–12 tahun tersedia di kedua-dua cawangan.
