The first swim class without mum or dad
One coach to three children, 30 minutes, heated indoor salt-water pool.
We build confidence first — because a child who feels safe learns faster.

“My child is afraid of water”
Many children don’t struggle because they can’t learn — they struggle because they were rushed, forced or lacked the right guidance early on. We put emotional readiness first.
Breath Control
Blowing bubbles, face in the water, no panic.
Floating Confidence
Front and back float, with support then without.
Safe Water Movement
Safe entry and exit, push off, glide and kick.
Swimming Foundation
Travelling forward and coming up for air alone.
Foundation 1, then Foundation 2
A water survival skill is built into each level rather than taught as a separate course. Each level ends with a video assessment.

Kiddie swimming class — common questions
Does my child go in the water alone?
Yes. Kiddie is the first level where your child is in the water without a parent. The ratio is our smallest — one coach to three children — and a Head Coach supervises every class.
My child is scared of water. Is that a problem?
No. Foundation 1 exists exactly for that. We start with breath control and safe entry, and never force a child to do something they are not ready for.
How long does each level take?
Most children take around four months per level with one class a week, and move up only after passing a recorded assessment.
What happens after Foundation 2?
Your child moves into our Learn to Swim group at Beginner level.
Do you have classes for younger siblings?
Yes — our Baby & Toddler class takes children from 6 months with a parent in the water.
Which branch should we choose?
Ara Damansara serves Petaling Jaya, Kelana Jaya and Subang. Puchong Jaya serves Puchong, Bandar Puteri and Kinrara. Same coaches, same syllabus, same price.
Full details — kiddie swimming classes at Skywhale
“My child is afraid of water”
Many children don’t struggle because they can’t learn — they struggle because they were rushed, forced or lacked the right guidance early on. At Skywhale, we prioritise emotional readiness and confidence first. When a child feels safe, learning becomes faster and more natural.
Foundation 1 and Foundation 2: what a kiddie swimming class actually covers
Kiddie is the first level where your child is in the water without you — and the first level with our smallest ratio, one coach to three children, in 30-minute classes. Foundation 1 is about adapting to water: breath control, floating, getting in and out of the pool safely, and the first real survival skill — turning over in the water and surfacing to breathe. Foundation 2 turns those skills into movement: pushing off the wall, kicking for propulsion, travelling forward and backward, and the paddle-and-breathe sequence so your child can come up for air on their own while moving. On completing Foundation 2, children move into our Learn to Swim Beginner group.
Water survival skills are built into both levels rather than taught as a separate course, the pool is heated to 32°C so a shivering child is never the reason a lesson goes badly, and a Head Coach supervises every class. Each level ends with a video-based assessment, so you see your child float and surface on their own before they move up — not just a tick on a card.
A patient, structured teaching approach
We don’t “push” children to perform. We guide them through clear stages, using child-friendly instruction and consistent routines. This builds trust — and trust is the foundation of progress in water. Lessons are conducted in small groups so each child receives attention, encouragement and safe supervision.
Trial & program fees
Program fees vary based on age and learning stage. To ensure the right class placement, we recommend starting with a trial session. After the trial, we’ll explain the suitable program options and fees based on your child’s readiness. See our Baby & Toddler Class for younger siblings, or move up to Learn to Swim (6–12 years) when ready.

Kiddie swimming classes run at Ara Damansara (serving Petaling Jaya, Subang and Kelana Jaya) and Puchong Jaya (serving Puchong, Bandar Puteri and Kinrara). Kelas renang kanak-kanak 3½–6 tahun tersedia di kedua-dua cawangan.
