JS Lee —Founder of Skywhale Swimming Academy
The SSI Swim Teacher Instructor who trains every coach at Skywhale.
Hello from JS
JS founded Skywhale Swimming Academy in 2019 after a competitive career as a state-level swimmer and water polo player. As an SSI Swim Teacher Instructor — the qualification that certifies swim teachers, not just swimmers — he personally trains and certifies every coach on this page, which is why families at both campuses experience the same teaching system regardless of which teacher takes the class.
He is also an SSI React Right Instructor, responsible for the emergency-response and water-safety standards across both branches, and holds the International Life Saving certification.
Certifications
Every coach at Skywhale teaches within the SSI-based Skywhale learning system: beginner classes capped at 1:4, video progress assessments reviewed by our Head Coach, and 32°C salt-water indoor pools at both campuses.
- SSI Swim Teacher Instructor — the SSI qualification to train and certify swim teachers — one of the few in Malaysia
- SSI React Right Instructor — certified to train other teachers in SSI emergency response and first aid
- ILS (International Life Saving) — International Life Saving certification
- Former NS State Swimmer
- Former NS Water Polo Player
